Production Notes:
This TV series ran for 35 episodes.
Based on the real-life story of Mitsuyo Nemoto (Mie) and Keiko Masuda (Kei), the singers who became Pink Lady, Japan's most famous duo of the late 1970s. However, other actresses provided their voices in this series.
In 1980, Pink Lady came to the United States for a live variety series, "Pink Lady" (also known as "Pink Lady and Jeff"), produced by Krofft Entertainment. Hosted by Jeff Altman and featuring Jim Varney as a cast member, this series was reviled by critics and viewers alike; it lasted on NBC for only six episodes. Much of the series' failure stemmed from the fact that neither member of Pink Lady could speak English.
Alternate Series Titles:
"Glorious Angels" and "Glorious Angels: The Pink Lady Story."
