Production Notes:

This story was adapted in Issue #2 (10252-006, June 1970) of Gold Key Comics' Hanna-Barbera Scooby Doo, Where Are You! ("Phantom Of The Castle").

The following snippets from this episode can be seen in the first-season opening titles:

1. Daphne pointing and saying "That way!" and walks out of shot just as a ghostly hand reaches from behind her and misses grabbing her.
2. The skull with eyes which Shaggy and Scooby encounter ("They went that-a-way!" "'S'all right!").
3. The Phantom confronting Scooby and the gang.
4. Shag's hair standing on end, as he screeches, "Zoinks!"

For the first time, episode title cards feature the title over Scooby and the gang running. The first two shows, "What A Night For A Knight" and "A Clue For Scooby-Doo," boasted title cards which featured regular pictures, a la Jonny Quest:

• "What A Night For A Knight"'s card showed Scooby and Shaggy opening a crate and The Black Knight, arms outstretched, emerging from it.
• "A Clue For Scooby-Doo" boasted a card with the ghost of Captain Cutler, covered with seaweed and glowing.
