Production Notes:
Produced under the auspices of the Coordinator of Inter-American affairs.
There are a few animated sequences in this film, and it was made by the Disney Studios (one scene uses the music from "Bambi"), but it is surely not an animated film or cartoon in the usual sense. It's mainly a live-action documentary promoting investment and development in the Amazon. Most of it is set in urban centers; some scenes are set along the river in rural settlements. It was released in 1944 as part of the Good Neighbor Policy during World War II, but I doubt if it was shown in regular commercial theaters.
