Additional Information about the Theatrical Cartoon It Happened To Crusoe

An updated version of "Robinson Crusoe," with Robinson sounding like Jack Benny and Friday (called "Winchester") sounding like Eddie "Rochester" Anderson. Fred Allen (with whom Benny had a big feud on the radio) is also impersonated as the Cannibal Chief. At one point, Crusoe is trying to figure out why the chief sounds so familiar, and he says: "Naaa... he could never get that tan." There's even time to work in crazy Jerry Colonna as crazy native.

Alternate Title: "It Happened To Caruso."
