Additional Information about the TV Cartoon Gargantus And The Highway Of Doom

Originally intended to air for 13 episodes on ESPN, the show included real-life athletic superstars Bo Jackson, Michael Jordan, and Wayne Gretzky as they join forces to form a superhero team. Usually accompanied by their female friend Denise, they fighting crime and help children, often protecting the environment in the process.

This Saturday morning cartoon was introduced by live-action clips of Jordan, Jackson, and Gretzky, then answering questions at the end. After the intro, their cartoon likenesses took over. Mike, Wayne, and Bo used their mastery of their respective sport to help Mama do battle with villains, armed with an arsenal of doo-dads, including a custom aircraft. Wannabe ProStar Denise tagged along with the guys, only to wind up usually having to be rescued by them.
