Cartoon Production Information:

The butcher has a passing resemblance to Max Fleischer. As Dave Fleischer produced the Li'l Abner series, and it was Max's refusal to acknowledge Dave's contribution that had broken up their partnership, is possible this is more than coincidence and is a dig by Dave at his brother.

One of only five animated Lil' Abner cartoons. Cartoonist Al Capp, who created the comic strip, was reportedly unhappy with how Columbia had simplified his strip's characters and situations. This series follows the adventures of Lil' Abner and his hillbilly friends. The cartoon is based on Al Capp's famous comic strip.

Traditional, Hand-drawn Animation.
