Additional Information about the TV Cartoon Fifi Comes To Down

This upbeat series was based on a series of children's books written by the comic half of Manchester, England-based duo Cannon and Ball.

Juniper Jungle lies right in the middle of Dreamland, where the rainbow never ends, toffees grow on trees, animals can talk and all children are welcome.

The weird and wonderful residents of Juniper Village confront the fiendish attacks of Miserable Mattress ("Don't laugh! I'm EVIL!") and his gang of Nasties from Swampland. The Nasties, besides just wanting to cause mischief in general, would like to get their hands on the villagers' delicious buns, and they'll try just about anything, including bombarding the village with stink bombs and robbing the bank, to succeed.

However, the Nasties' attempts to make trouble for the Goodies are doomed every time. Using all their skills and resources, the villagers keep the gang at bay with hilarious results.

This series was repeated on BBC1 later in 1993, and was shown regularly on BBC2 from 1995 to 1999.
