Production Notes:

Silent film.

Stop-motion animation was used to show a dinner being prepared by invisible hands.

According to tradition, French animator Emile Cohl was one of several Gaumont employees hired to uncover the mysteries of this film, a sensation at the time. Cohl discovered that director J. Stuart Blackton had used stop-motion animation, moving objects in tiny increments and photographing them frame by frame.

Stop-motion Animation.

Alternate Titles: "The Haunted Hotel; Or, The Strange Adventures of a Traveler" and "The Strange Adventures of a Traveler."
