This TV series ran for 284 episodes.
Based on Sanpei Sato's four-panel strip in the "Asahi Shimbun" newspaper.
In 1984, another Sato strip was released as "Video Manga: Yuhi-Kun." However, this consisted of narration over still panels, so was not technically anime.
The same team went on to create the series "Kotowaza House," which was even more successful.
