Additional Information about the Direct-To-Video Cartoon Black Magic M-66

Based on a fanzine containing loosely linked manga which helped Masamune Shirow get his first professional contract.

The anime was an adaptation of the chapter "Booby Trap."

Over 20,000 cels were used.

This was Shirow's only work as an anime director. It was the debut of Chisa Yokoyama (Ferris), who would later become a voice star.
