The mixed media piece was made possible as part of Sony's "Joy" project. Only a select handful of top international directors were invited to create a film of their choice using Sony's new high-definition CineAlta camera. While the series was previously live-action, Vinton Studios got an exclusive invitation from Sony as the sole company to incorporate animation.
