This was the only teen comedy of the mid-1980s that combined live action and animation. Despite the onscreen presence of superstars John Cusack and Demi Moore, it was a commercial flop, grossing only $13.4 million in the United States.
The Fuzzy Bunnies sequences were animated by the film's writer/director, Savage Steve Holland, who went on to create Eek! The Cat. Holland and Bill Kopp created the animated titles.
