Additional Information about the TV Cartoon A Fish Out Of Water

This series was based on the Steve Moncuse comic book "Fish Police."

Six episodes were produced, but the series floundered after only three were broadcast by CBS.

On the night of January 25, 1997, all six episodes (dubbed in German)- including the three not broadcast in the United States- were aired in sequence by RTL, a Luxembourg TV station with a large German audience. Sat1, a German satellite channel, is also said to have aired the entire series in 1999 in its children's programming block.

In "The Simpsons Halloween Special III," the name of this series, along with those of "Capitol Critters" and "Family Dog" (two other unsuccessful animated imitations of "The Simpsons"), appeared on gravestones in the pet cemetery.
