Additional Information about the Theatrical Cartoon The Toll Collector

Director Rachel Johnson graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in photography. Eight months afterward, she traveled across Europe, stopping at every animation studio that she admired to find work. Although she couldn't get a job, she talked Studio Jiriho Trnky into producing The Toll Collector.

Director's statement: "The Toll Collector is only 10 minutes long, yet it took three years to make. That's crazy."
