26-episode, family oriented series produced in Spain.
This series was based on the children's books The Gnomes and The Secret Book of Gnomes by the Dutch author Wil Huygen and illustrator Rien Poortvliet. The series was originally shown in Spain as David el Gnomo.
We can't understand what they're saying, but there are some special little beings out there that can... they're called the gnomes. The animals are their neighbors, and their neighborhood is the world.
David, the patriarch of the Gnome clan, was something of a pacifist, since he usually avoided trouble rather than put up a fight. This wasn't an attitude of cowardice, but rather a faith in Gnome and Troll-kind. He was convinced that goodness would eventually prevail, and he was determined to do his part. David and his wife Lisa traveled the world with their fox Swift helping friends and animals alike.
