Production Notes:
Paul Peroff created 52 episodes of this series in 1949 and 1950.
"Chapter" (Episode) 8 was titled "The Kangaroo Boxing Match." In it, Jim and Judy are actually sucked into their TV and emerge in a land where they are interacting with cannibals and rescued by the pilot of what appears to be a DC-3. They return home at the end of the episode.
The series was rebroadcast in 1959 under the title "Bob and Betty in Adventureland."
Parents were reportedly concerned that their children would emulate Jim and Judy and try to climb into their TV sets at home.
Paul N. Peroff, the series' creator, was an American animator who moved to Germany in the 1920s. During the Second World War, he made at least one propaganda cartoon for the German government aimed at the Soviet Union. After the war, he returned to the U.S.
Alternate Series Title:
"Bob And Betty In Adventureland."
