There are some surprisingly licentious scenes in this theatrical "bouncing ball" commercial commissioned by General Motors. Example: The peeping Tom offers Lucille his candy cane to lick.
Billy Murray recorded the title song in 1905, 1906 and 1909 for the Columbia and Victor labels.
The introduction to the "bouncing ball" sequence, as well as the live-action sequence, were deleted in 16mm and Super 8mm commercial prints released by Blackhawk Films.
