This TV special, featuring most of Daws Butler's classic early characters, was released the year of his death.
Norwegian-born composer Sven Libaek recalled: "We had fun with one film called 'The Good, the Bad and Huckleberry Hound,' which was based on 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,' and I wrote a complete Western score for it. It suited it brilliantly, it wasn't a cartoon score at all. It ended being 38 recording sessions and eight and a half hours of music, which relates almost to 16 symphonies. It had from a single synthesizer to a full string orchestra. That took two years to get all that done."
Soundtrack: "Stinky Dalton," "Rusty Nails Saloon," "Gold, Gold, Gold," "Boogie Woogie."
