Additional Information about the TV Cartoon How Rikochet Got His Move Back

This was a spinoff from the 2000 live-action TV series "Los Luchadores." The series was also inspired by Lucha Libre, the popular theatrical style of Mexican wrestling.

This was the first-ever all-Flash animated series on broadcast television. The series was simulcast in Spanish via Second Audio Programming (SAP).

According to Variety, this Saturday morning cartoon has consistently landed in the top 10 rankings with kids 6 to 11 and tweens 9 to 14.

The series also finished the 2002-2003 season among the top 10 broadcast and cable programs for Saturday mornings among boys 6 to 11 and male tweens 9 to 14, as well as among the top seven broadcast programs for kids 2 to 11.

Episodes from Mucha Lucha's first season were rebroadcast in Cartoon Network in 2004. There were 26 episodes planned for the second season.

A feature film based on the cartoon was announced. Other product tie-ins included recently completed DC miniseries, a GameBoy Advance game and a Playstation 2 title.

Mr. Midcarda's name derives from "Mid-Card," referring to an average wrestler.
