The square-dance sequence (immediately preceding the dramatic meat of this film's plot) is one of the only instances of animation lifted directly from that of a competing studio. The theft in question is from Warner Bros' Goopy Geer cartoon "Moonlight For Two." This happened because Harman-Ising climbed aboard MGM and its burgeoning animation studio, and took the original drawings with them.
The first Happy Harmonies cartoon labeled as such on the original title card.
Not currently shown on American television due to potentially offensive racial characterizations.
