Production Notes:

A scene in which Jerry pretends to be an Indian has been removed from the cartoon opening in most modern releases. Two separate shots of Tom smoking (a cigar and a cigarette) are similarly excised.

Excerpts from this cartoon were reused in "Smitten Kitten" (1952).

Tom and Toots both speak in this cartoon.

Tom actually gets hammered on the head by Toots (the hammer is labeled "Wolf Pacifier").

Songs:
  • "Screwy Truant" (Scott Bradley)
  • "I Got It Bad" (Duke Ellington)
  • "You Were Meant For Me" (Nacio Herb Brown)
  • "Little Jerry Mouse" (Scott Bradley)
  • "Sweet and Lovely" (Gus Arnheim)
  • "Don't Get Around Much Any More" (Duke Ellington)
  • "Anchors Aweigh" (Lieutenant Charles A. Zimmerman)

Traditional, Hand-drawn Animation.

Alternate Title: "Mouse To Dinner (Working Title)."
