Additional Information about the TV Cartoon Son Of The Sun

Huck Finn, Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher are here in Hanna-Barbera style (live-action actors with animated villains and backgrounds).

The New Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn was a prime-time NBC series airing in 1968 and 1969. This show was not a segment on "The Banana Splits Adventure Hour," but reruns were syndicated along with the Splits reruns in the "Banana Splits And Friends Show" package.

According to TV Guide, a repeat of September 22, 1968's "Huck Of La Mancha" was scheduled to run on NBC the night that "Son Of The Sun" aired. Apparently, The Peacock Network scrapped those plans at the last minute.

Repeated on NBC July 6, 1969.
