This was also the first Supermarionation series produced by Century 21.
The series was brought to the United States in early 1962. As in Britain, many TV stations ran it during the evening.
Later, most stations broadcast Supercar in the afternoons and weekends. Regional sponsors included Colorforms Inc. and Marx Toys.
Production shortcomings included visible black puppet strings and fixed smiles on the marionettes' faces which didn't alter during dramatic moments.
