A commercial short made for the Bristol-Myers Company. This was originally produced (at a cost of $9,000) as a soft-sell commercial for Bristol-Myers' Ipana toothpaste, and was said to have been one of the most expensive commercials ever made for theatrical distribution as an "added attraction."
Bristol-Myers planned to give theaters 50 cents a seat to run the cartoon, but something happened and this never came about. Gene Castle, head of Castle Films, bought the cartoon (removing two plugs for Ipana) and released it for the home market.
Adapted from Gene Byrnes' comic strip "Reg'lar Fellers."
There are vocal caricatures of popular 1930s radio personalities Fred Allen, Joe Penner and Ed Wynn.
