Additional Information about the TV Cartoon The Inferno

The original Japanese series Space Pirate Captain Harlock ran only 42 episodes. Because they needed to create a whole season of shows, the American importers took a second show- Queen Millennia- and edited in parts of it into Space Pirate Captain Harlock to make a full, 65 episode season. Ziv International and Harmony Gold syndicated the "Captain Harlock" series simultaneously in two separate (but nearly identical) packages named "Captain Harlock and the Space Pirates" and "Captain Harlock and the Queen of 1000 Years."
