I hate Tom's master! Hate, *hate*, HATE him. I felt better when it was Spike using Tom as a punching bag, because hey, Spike's a dog. And you could still laugh at those poundings... somehow they were still funny.

These early-60s Tom and Jerrys, done at Gene Deitch's studio in Czechoslovakia, are just as rotten as the Chuck Jones series that followed; but there's some comedy of the purely UNINTENTIONAL sort, in the jerky movements and the simply-bizarre...  (read more)
