The "Zorro" character created by Johnston McCulley. This was the first cartoon appearance for Zorro, but the cartoon kept the spirit of the legendary swordsman's screen adventures. And yes, the customary sword-carved "Z" was part of the proceedings.
This marked the only time Filmation ever outsourced the production of one of their cartoon series.
