Production Notes:

Original title: "Whitey & Davey."

Partialy inspired by a line in Adam Sandler's "The Chanukah Song."

Concerned about the expense and risks, Sony Pictures Entertainment had been wary of getting involved in animation. However, vice-chairman Amy Pascal consented to the project after Sandler made a personal pitch to her. David Dorfman, screenwriter for a subsequent Sandler film, quipped that Sony probably would have produced "a kabuki play" if Sandler wanted it to.

Adam Sandler's Eight Crazy Nights was a box-office as well as a critical flop, earning only $24 million back on its $34 million budget.
