After being broadcast on ABC in the show "Slimer! and the Real Ghostbusters," this series was syndicated, with new episodes, as "The Real Ghostbusters." In early September 1987, many station managers ran this and a similarly named Filmation series called "Ghostbusters." opposite each other until they saw what they were doing to themselves.
