The last Rankin Bass Productions feature to use the Animagic technique. It was also the last time that Rankin/Bass animated Rudolph and Frosty. However, the "Frosty" character is shown in Animagic for the first time.
Befitting the title, this cartoon was released in July!
"It was not a resounding success when it opened in the summer. I think it ran for two or three weeks, and it was not the hit we thought it would be," recalled producer-director Arthur Rankin, Jr. "Over the years, it has become a valuable property as a television movie, and cassette sales are very active, too."
Songs: "You Are Everything I Always Wanted" (Crystal), "Every Day Is Just Like Christmas."
