This is Betty's first on-screen battle with sexual harassment on the job. In this one, it's inside her dressing tent at the circus.
This is also the first use of the Betty Boop theme song. The singer of the "Sweet Betty" theme may be Arthur Jarrett.
Betty's song, "Don't Take My Boop-Oop-A-Doop Away" (Written by Samuel Lerner, Lyrics by Sammy Timberg) (in part):
You can feed me bread and water,
Or a great big bale of hay,
But don't take my boop-oop-a-doop away!
You can say my voice is awful,
Or my songs are too risqué,
Oh, but don't take my boop-oop-a-doop away!
An off-color gag shows a cannon going limp after being fired.
