Production Notes:

The first minute is identical to 1942's Bugs Bunny Gets The Boid.

Kent Rogers died in World War II (July 1944) before the voice work on this cartoon was finished, so Stan Freberg did the remaining voice tracks. Comedian Eddie Bartell is also said to have filled in for some of Beaky's dialogue (along with Freberg) when Kent Rogers was killed fighting in World War II. In addition, director Bob Clampett did a few new speaking lines himself.

The delay in this cartoon's release was due to the Technicolor plant's large backlog during the war.

This was Beaky Buzzard's first "starring" role, although he had appeared in other cartoons.

This is also the cartoon that has Beaky sing the "I'm Bringing Home a Baby Bumblebee" song that many people associate with the character. The original title was "Arkansas Traveler" (Unknown-arr. Carl Stalling).
