Cartoon Production Information:

April O'Neil was Baxter Stockman's assistant in the original comics, but in this cartoon series April is a Channel 6 reporter with no ties to Stockman whatsoever.

In the original comics Splinter started off a pet rat of Hamato Yoshi, a member of the Foot Clan. But in this cartoon series, Splinter started off as Hamato Yoshi himself.

In the original comics, all four turtles had red bandanas but, each Turtle had a different skin color. For the TV show, they were each given a different color bandana instead of having a different skin color to make it easier to tell them apart. But in the TV show all of the Turtles had the same skin color.
