Additional Information about the Theatrical Cartoon The Itch of the Golden Nit

David Walliams, Miranda Hart, Catherine Tate and Rik Mayall are among the cream of British comedy leading the cast in this animation, created by children for children, which formed part of the Cultural Olympiad.

Thousands of children across the United Kingdom contributed drawings, sound effects and story ideas to the film, which was brought together by Tate and Aardman Animations with additional support from the BBC, either by uploading images to the Web site or by attending one of the touring movie workshops held across the country.
