Additional Information about the TV Cartoon Welcome to Republic City

Story Arc: Book One: Air.

In March of 2011, Nickelodeon announced they had added 14 more episodes to the original miniseries of 12, for a total of 26. This second part of season one will be known as Book Two: Spirits. In July of2012, Nickelodeon announced they had ordered 26 more episodes for a second season. These 26 episodes will be divided into two parts called Books 3 and 4.

The Legend of Korra takes place 70 years after the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender and follows the adventures of the Avatar after Aang - a passionate, rebellious and fearless teenage girl from the Southern Water Tribe named Korra.

The first two episodes where shown on the website "KorraNation" on March 24 & 25, 2012 prior to the premiere on Nickelodeon.

Alternate Series Titles: "Avatar: The Legend of Korra (Original Title)" and "The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra."
