This Saturday morning anthology series adapted children's literature into cartoons to encourage youngsters to read.
The show was hosted by Bob Keeshan until 1988. Malcolm Jamal-Warner hosted the program when it returned to the air (in reruns) in 1993; it last aired in 1994.
The series received Daytime Emmy nominations in 1986 for Outstanding Animated Program, Outstanding Film Editing, and Outstanding Graphics and Title Design, and in 1988 for Outstanding Animated Program.
CBS' first in-house cartoon series since Terrytoons.
