Production Notes:

Five teenagers have special rings which, when used together, summons up Earth's hero, Captain Planet. Individually, the rings represent the elements of the Earth. Together, they battle those who try to pollute or harm the Earth.

The show was retitled The New Adventures of Captain Planet beginning the fourth season, when the production company changed from DIC Entertainment to Hanna-Barbera.
