Additional Information about the TV Cartoon Bewitched (Opening Titles) (Video)

The animation and theme music changes slightly through the eight years that Bewitched was filmed. The first season was Black & White, and the animation was produced in monochrome; later seasons were in color, and reanimated in color. Samantha's hair got blonder on the show and in the cartoon opening. And, yes, opening was redone for the new Darrin when the role was recast in 1969. The opening and closing credits were also altered depending on the show's sponsor. Quaker Oats, Chevrolet, Oscar Meyer, Kodak, and Clairol openings all were featured depending on the season.
