Production Notes:

This series ran for 26 episodes.

Released to capitalize on the Koala craze in Japan in 1984. The government of Australia sent six koalas to the Tama Zoo in western Tokyo as a token of goodwill.

Animation studio Top Craft is also known for animating many of Rankin-Bass' American animated TV specials as well as the feature film The Last Unicorn. Top Craft also provided animation assistance for Hayao Miyazaki's 1984 feature film Kaze No Tani No Naushika (Nausicań of the Valley of the Wind).
