Cartoon Production Information:

This was a segment on "The Huckleberry Hound Show."

Traditional, Hand-drawn Animation.

Commentary:

Lazy Jinxie is done in by his own invention and some scotch-tape tricky by the Pesky Meeces. This cartoon is animated by ex-MGMer Ken Muse and layouts by Ed Benedict, with the story work by Charlie Shows and Dan Gordon.

The music cues are, as best as I can discover at this point:

0:00 - Pixie and Dixie theme
0:26 - 5-F-20 Toboggan Run (Shaindlin) Jinx chases P&D into mousehole
0:46 - TC 432 Holly Day (Seely-Loose) P&D and Jinx pant, Jinx builds trap
1:57 - TC 303 Zany Comedy (Seely-Loose) Jinx demonstrates dynamite
3:18 - pounding dramatic cue ( ) Jinx tries out mechanical mouse
3:43 - possibly TC 200 (Seely-Loose) P & D ask Jinx how mechanical mouse works
3:58 - pounding dramatic cue ( ) Mechnical mouse captures P&D
4:38 - 1-F-1 Fishy Story (Shaindlin) Mechanical Mouse zaps then bashes Dixie
6:02 - 3-TC 300 Eccentic Comedy (Seely-Loose) P&D turn Jinx into giant mouse
6:34 - ??circus chase cue ( ) Mechanical Mouse chases Jinx
7:10 - Pixie and Dixie closing theme

The dramatic cue is used in a bunch of early Yogis, usually when some kind of danger is involved.

The bed at 3:43 sounds related to several in a series of cues entitled Wistful Comedy (TC 200, 203, 204A; it's not the last two).

I don't know what else to call the music at 6:34; it was also heard on Huckleberry Hound and Yogi cartoons.

I like how Jinx emulates Frank Nelson of the Jack Benny show with a long "Yes?" to the mice, though he's a lot more subdued than Frank was.
