Additional Information about the Theatrical Cartoon Technology, Phooey (Video)

This cartoon is much like Warner Bros.'s Bugs Bunny film "To Hare is Human."

There were two different versions of the scene after the Aardvark accidentally sprayed himself with a bug spray. After Aardvark accidentally sprayed himself with the Ant Spray, Ant originally said "Man! He must be having a bad trip!" Apparently, the censors felt that any spoken references to drugs- i.e. a bad trip- was unacceptable for young TV audiences, so when this short ran on television on NBC, they changed the line to "Those Sam's outta again! Well, I might as well play along with him." Even later, in the syndicated package, they edited the scene out.
