All of Fleischer's Superman cartoons have an otherworldly look, using tremendous amounts of color...my print was awash in greens. Being a monster fan, I was astounded to see Godzilla predated by over a decade, not to mention Gorgo and the Beast From...  (read more)

At first I thought that the writers had been inspired by the movies "Godzilla, King Of the Monsters", or the "Beast from 20,000 Fathoms", but then I backed up and noticed the copyright date of 1942!
