These mini-operas are among the early classics in the Popeye series.
This was about the first to show Popeye as a sensitive, vulnerable person.

I thought this was one of Fleischer Studios better cartoons. I liked the song "Man on the Flying Trapeze, and I thiught that Bluto's vpice added a nice counter-point to Popeye's voice.
