Even though Chuck Jones always cited Tex Avery as an inspiration, it's really Bob Clampett (whom Jones always ignored) whose style bears the most kinship to Avery's cartoons. This cartoon's a perfect example: the duck is totally invincible...  (read more)

Even though Chuck Jones spared no opportunity to credit Avery as his guiding inspiration, it's really Bob Clampett (whom Jones always ignored) who shares the closest kinship with Avery. THis cartoon's a good case in point. The duck has eternal...  (read more)
