Scrappy is so tired. If only he didn't have to go to school. He's told by Mom to get up and get ready. He falls back to sleep after saying: "I wish every day was a holiday." If only today were one. If only... say, what's this? Who is that funny little man jumping into Scrappy's bed? Why, it's Father Time! Scrappy has an out-of-body experience. Abducted from his bed, he finds himself in a world of holidays. It's Christmas, Easter, New Year's Day and many other wonderful days of gladness rolled into one. There's Santa Claus, and there's the old Halloween Witch. And the cutest little Easter Bunny... with hens laying eggs on demand, which drop into a chute where they are hard-boiled and dyed in anticipation of the great egg hunt. A witch and her entourage of pumpkins make their appearance. Mr. Pilgrim arrives with his Thanksgiving turkey. "Scrappy" is taken to the Thanksgiving curtain. An enormous table is laden with food and the entire cast is partaking of the feast. Why, everybody's here! All the holidays are being celebrated in one day. There's a New Year's party, with everyone having such a gay time. Scrappy's forced to partake in elaborate holiday musical numbers. And all Scrappy's new, wonderful friends are drinking a toast to Scrappy on this day of happiest days. Father Time proposes a toast to Scrappy. But, alas, it's only a dream. A big, wonderful, beautiful dream, and there's mother waking Scrappy again. And he's late for school, so it's a mad dash from washing stand to breakfast table, and off to learn his lessons.
