Cartoon Summary:

Freely adapted from the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, this tells the story of four down-at-heel animals (a donkey, a cat, a dog, and a rooster) who resolve to make their living as professional musicians. They first try to get a meal by charming fish out of a pond with their music, but this idea goes sour when they run afoul of a giant, amphibious swordfish. They end up in a den of several dozen robbers who are armed with a full battery of cannons. The cat saves the day by riding a flying cannonball and clobbering all of the dimwitted robbers with a two-by-four.
