Cartoon Summary:

The Black Crystal fragment has grown to the size of a building and is draining everything near it. The girls sit around, searching for an answer. Serena is consumed with guilt over Rini. Wiseman chortles about how the universe will be plunged into chaos and ripe for the Death Phantom, the entity he truly serves. Saffire overhears and tries to warn Diamond, but Wiseman heads him off. Undaunted, Saffire steals the crystal key card to the Black Crystal's control panel, and then disappears into the past. Wiseman convinces Diamond is a traitor and they must pursue him. In the 20th Century, Prisma spots Saffire staggering through an alley. She takes him to her home for sanctuary. While feverish, he recalls Diamond's vow to reclaim Earth as their rightful home. He wakes to find Prisma nursing him back to health. He asks them why they betrayed the NegaMoon and Prisma explains how Sailor Moon showed them the error of their ways. Saffire is convinced and vows to stop Wiseman. Prisma, in love with him, begs him to wait until he's stronger, but he refuses. She lets him go, knowing he's going to his death. On the street, Wicked Lady confronts Saffire, but the Scouts protect him. Diamond appears and Saffire tries to convince him that Wiseman is set to betray them all. Saffire is beginning to sway Diamond when Wiseman appears and destroys Saffire, reclaiming the key card. He and Wicked Lady vanish, leaving a fuming Diamond cradling his dying brother. Prisma senses Saffire's death and stares forlornly out the window.
