Cartoon Summary:

An economy cartoon in which Olive is so enamored by "a man in uniform" that Popeye and Bluto rush to enlist in the Army. Each must show the recruiting officer who's the best. Through a series of flashbacks from each of their scrapbooks of cartoons, Popeye and Bluto provide several action clips of their deeds so that they can join up.

This is a pleasant "cheater" cartoon that uses clips from SHOEIN' HOSSES and KING OF THE MARDI GRAS, but not really one of the best. Animation in the opening scene seems as if it were rushed through production, as it is not up to the usual...  (read more)
