Cartoon Summary:

When he awakens one morning to help old Farmer John plow the fields, Sugarfoot sees a new tractor near the fields and his master touting a shotgun. Fearful that he is being replaced by the tractor (and that his loving owners are sending him to the glue factory), Sugarfoot angrily destroys the tractor. However, he soon discovers that the farmer and his wife Nelly only want to retire him and take good care of him. He learns that a little misunderstanding can go a long way. Feeling ashamed, he sets out to earn money for a new tractor by working as a stunt double with hilarious consequences. All ends well with a terrific scene at a drive-in movie theater.
