When Nikki tells Sakura and Meilin about a memorial garden which sells good-luck amulets, the two girls simultaneously decide that they must have one. But once they're there, the garden turns into a maze, and they seem to be hopelessly trapped. Every time that they develop a strategy to get out, the crafty Maze Card makes things more complicated. It's their new substitute teacher, the lovely Layla Mackenzie, who helps them find their way out. Alone among all the kids, Sakura distrusts the beautiful stranger despite her assistance.
